Heya critters!

I also want to gush about how close we are to unlocking the dragon plush?? Only 6k away now!! I'm so thrilled and grateful over everything we accomplished in these past three weeks.

This project was very much an exploration in self indulgence (I love my hunky monsters, what can I say 😅) and to have it take off and exceed my wildest expectations was really incredible-- and has me looking forward to a series 2 as soon as this one wraps up! 



In other news, I received a mothman update last night, and I'm so stoked to announce they're finally finished!! That means they'll be on their way to me shortly, and I can get some quality in the round photos. It also means I got the ball rolling on our werewolf and mothman variants, so I hope to show those off very soon. 
 

The last thing I want is for customers to buy plushies 'site unseen' so to speak, so this part is very important to me and I go to great lengths to make sure every part of the plush is clearly visible and there are no unpleasant surprises.

We've unlocked so much over the past few weeks its almost impossible to keep track of it all, but never fear-- that's where the mega master list comes in handy!!

Wrapping up this week with a whole bunch of reveals, yippee! 🎁💖

First up, the art for the gargoyle and minotaur is finally finished. Its always a bit nerve-racking whipping up new characters on such a tight schedule, but I'm really pleased over how these critters turned out and think the make excellent additions to the cryptid crew!
 



And next we have the 4th outfit. This one includes two pieces, a faux layered band t-shirt and some distressed red jeans. 



Tomorrow's update will include a master list of everything we've unlocked so far, so if you're a little confused don't worry-- the master list should clear some things up.

And speaking of unlocks, I'm so excited to see we're only 12k away from unlocking the dragon plush!!! There's no doubt in my mind that we'll hit 125k before the 13th, and I want to thank everyone again for making all this happen. As a consequence of your support, there will undoubtedly be a Series 2 featuring all the creatures that weren't unlocked this time, and a whole host of new monsters too 💖💖💖

The results are in folks!! The Gargoyle eked out a narrow lead in the final hour, winning over the Minotaur by a single percentage.

As you may have noticed, I have no chill....so both creatures are joining the lineup and I'm working on their character art as we speak! Below is a rough look at my preliminary designs, but details are liable to change between the sketch and final pin design.



Small pin versions are also in the works, and will be revealed early next week if not sooner (it all depends on how quickly I can draw them!)

Beyond pin designs, I'm working hard on a 4th outfit, and should have something to share in the next few days. And now on to our creature feature! This one is especially exciting because not only have I admired Jupy's creations for a long time, but I got to create a WHOLE sticker set featuring her newest critters- the Very Huggable Softies!!!

Happy Friday critters!

I've been hard at work these past few days and I have a couple things to share with you today!

The Cryptid Crush supplier is back from their holiday, and surprised me with another mothman update last night. We're so close!!! You can see my last few edits here, and once that's done mothman should be on the way to me.
 


That also means I can place the order for the new prototypes now, so I'm in the process of getting all the ref sheets done and sent over. My goal is to have everyone purchased and in-progress by Monday!




The pin samples for the freebie rewards are on the way to me now, too! Bear in mind these are factory photos and the colors are kind of awful, but I think they're going to look incredible in person. I will update with better photos as soon as they arrive!



And that's not all-- we just hit 105k, and just in time!!! The poll ends in less than 2 hours, and right now the minotaur and gargoyle are in a dead heat. I guess if they tie, I'll just have to draw two monsters? 🤭

I saw some confusion on the last update so I just want to clarify, this is NOT another plush. This is just a small and medium pin set (although they have the potential to become a plush sometime down the road, like all cryptid crush characters.)

🎉🎉 But speaking of plushies, I've decided that if we reach 125k in funding, the dragon plush WILL join the lineup immediately. 🎉🎉
