My Cryptid Crush

Howdy critters!

I was up late last night finalizing (or mostly finalizing) the dragon hoard pins. Hope you like them!! There has been a rather criminal lack of dragon-related content in my work over the past few years and I hope to rectify that soon.

This is a start, but its not good enough. There must be more! 😤



I've also been watching the poll closely and I'm not gonna lie, it's so tight its got me stressing! (in a good way haha) The numbers have been fluctuating so much I don't even want to call a winner yet, although it looks like the gorgon has gained a healthy lead over the two sometime yesterday night.

Jersey Devil and Dragon stans don't despair though, the runner up will become our 90k unlock!



As much as I'd love to unlock everyone, I do want to keep things manageable and not over-promise something when prototyping could be really fast....or take literally forever. The good news is though, I love all of them and I will be paying to have them all prototyped ASAP. This means that the last one may be offered in the preorder store if the timing works out (fingers crossed!!!) and available for selection on your survey.

We're only $200 away from unlocking the next monster plush officially and I have no chill, so let's goooo!!! Poll will be live until Friday at 10pm so get those votes in 🎉



Because I've seen so much love for each one of these guys and I have a feeling this race is gonna be a close one, I'm considering adding another stretch goal to unlock the runner up. The way this could work without causing too much delay is samples will be produced in the order they're unlocked and production can begin on finished samples sooner, so they can also be shipped to the warehouse sooner.

So please be aware that the production timeline on these new unlocks may be longer than the first 6 plushies.

I could be worrying for nothing and sampling could go super smooth/quickly, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Regardless I hope the news excites some of you who are worried your fave won't be picked-- there's always a chance! 🥰

Today we have a new item in the add-on section thanks to long-time cryptid cuddler and friend of the Snughouls, Charmsey!!!

This adorable keychain set will be approximately 2" tall with star clasps and magnets that resembles a cute lil' heart whenever they're brought together.

As of right now we're also less than 4k away from welcoming a new monster to the plush crew! I've been hard at work cookin' up a snack in the cryptid kitchen and these guys are almost ready for their big debut. Do you know who you're voting for already? 👀

Alright critters, its time to come clean. I wasn't being honest about the big monster reveal...because it's actually going to be a poll!!

And we're so close now, I think a sneak peek at what I'm cooking up is appropriate. There will be more contenders, but I'm still ironing out a few kinks in order to deliver the best version of each crush that I possibly can.

Are you excited? I know I am 👀 Every time a new character comes to life in plush form, it feels like christmas to me!



And speaking of plush forms, I received another mothman update last night! We're SO SO close. The colors, the clothes, everything is on point, we just need to adjust the antenna a bit more and source a better material for their lil' moth peanut. I really think the next sample might be the final one!



Last but not least, it looks like our two backers choice winners have been decided by overwhelming majorities. The scarred wolfman and classic mothman will be joining the plush line up!  My supplier is on holiday until the 9th, but as soon as they return from their vacation we'll get the ball rolling on some new samples and likely get our first look at these critters in real life by late-february. 

Recolors take significantly less time than a whole new plush, so I expect the samples to be finalized in less than a month after prototyping begins.
